They keep him in a cage, apparently

It’s about time I made an eps of the new Arsenal logo, but if anyone wants them here are EPS’s of the old gun and the title.

old arsenal logo

Last night’s Champion’s League game against Chelsea was enjoyable, Lehman’s not so hot under pressure with the ball at his feet though, is he? Still, it was a good result, and great football to watch - some of the first half tackling was just class.

I read with interest that the anonymous type that posts on the BBCNI weblog is an Arsenal fan, pity the BBC weblog only links to the boring weblogs and websites in Northern Ireland, and not some of the better (and bigger) NI weblogs, (and Dear Points of View, Why, oh why did they not use Movable Type?) but at least there’s a Gooner in there, an outlier of common sense and decency.

Also, why doesn’t the BBCNI weblog have an XML feed of some sort? Do they really think I can be bothered to check it every once in a while?

Have you noticed you can’t actually comment on old posts either? The comment form works only on the top post, or it did last time I checked. A commercial MT license is $120, I wonder how that stacks up against the man hours of rolling and maintaining your own CMS/Weblog software? Is my license money being badly managed? I want answers dammit!

Does exactly what it says on the (comic book) tin. Loved it.
  • Little Miss Sunshinerating
Very funny, disturbing (the beauty pageant) and completely messed up -- but in a good way.
  • Laputa: Castle in the Skyrating
Story great, characterization a little on the weak side -- though the big robots are cool.
  • Porco Rossorating
    Stylish, funny, exciting.
  • Grave of the Firefliesrating
Very sad, which was a little unexpected since I didn't know much about it before watching it. Can be a little too slow in places though, otherwise it's very good.
  • Nausicaä of the Valley of the Windrating
The story can get a little dense at times what with the various factions, but still really enjoyable, inventive and engaging.
  • X-Men: The Last Standrating
Opportunity, talent, money - all blown. Over 3 films X-Men has hinted of something great that could have been, this last one says "No, sorry - not going to happen". Bah.
