Letter from Lady Sylvia Hermon, MP And so it goes. Yes, next time I will vote. Yes she is still hot.

So, for Jojo, it reads: “Thanks for your kind words…Next time you will of course vote! And you will also volunteer to be my lookalike for my photographers!!” Yes Ma’am. Not sure how I should take that though, I’m a little bit too big and ugly to pass as Sylvia, but anyhow.

The rest is thank your for saying nice things and it’s an honour and privilege to have been re-elected and to serve the people of North Down for another Parliament etc. She really is a nice lady.

What does it say?

Sorry, you got this because of what? Sitting on a park bench? Or did she happen upon green and enjoy your “hot” comments?

Lady Hermon wrote back to me after I wrote and said she was nice, not at all like the stereotype of a NI politician, and wished her all the best. I may also have said she was hot.

It was late, I wasn’t thinking straight.

I’ve written to lots of politicians and never received a letter that offered such personal comments. I must start writing while drunk and perhaps suggest a level of hotness. Unfortunately, the only politician I find moderately (and only moderately mind you!) attractive happens to be a conservative - and that just wont do. Why can’t the leftwingers be cute?

On another note, we’re trying to come up with holiday ideas for a 4 day weekend break. Along with Scotland we’re considering both Northern Ireland and the Republic. Any suggestions? (Now that I’m this close, perhaps a meet-up is in order).

The reason lefties aren’t cute is THEY DON’T WASH. Or shave. (Clare Short, I am looking at you.)

And: boo-hoo! Going to NI and I won’t be there.

Trish! If I had to suggest somewhere to go in a 4 day weekend it’d be the north coast, visit Fair Head, the Giant’s Causeway, Downhill, stay somewhere like this eat out at that wee pub in Ballintoy who’s name I’ve forgotten or the Ramore Head in Portrush. Romantic walks on the beach in the evening, geology & scenery during the day.

Then nip down to Belfast for an afternoon and we shall introduce you a little place we call the Titanic. Who knows, maybe even Joanne will come out of Palace Barracks.

Does exactly what it says on the (comic book) tin. Loved it.
  • Little Miss Sunshinerating
Very funny, disturbing (the beauty pageant) and completely messed up -- but in a good way.
  • Laputa: Castle in the Skyrating
Story great, characterization a little on the weak side -- though the big robots are cool.
  • Porco Rossorating
    Stylish, funny, exciting.

Very sad, which was a little unexpected since I didn't know much about it before watching it. Can be a little too slow in places though, otherwise it's very good.
  • Nausicaä of the Valley of the Windrating
The story can get a little dense at times what with the various factions, but still really enjoyable, inventive and engaging.
  • X-Men: The Last Standrating
Opportunity, talent, money - all blown. Over 3 films X-Men has hinted of something great that could have been, this last one says "No, sorry - not going to happen". Bah.
