The Girlfriend Criteria

Must have pulse. ( SWM has an addendum to this: “If no pulse latent heat will do.”)

And there it ends. Short post. ( cf. Boyfriend Criteria )

Beware girls bearing lentils, for they will have hairy pits.

I’m so disappointed, I don’t meet yours or swm’s criteria. :(

I love lentils (and make a fabulous lentil curry) and have hair-free underarms. Generalizations again ST!

The one thing Joanne didn’t specify was the gender of her partner - funny enough, I think I meet all the criteria.

Yes again, a blatant attempt at humour falls on its face. (Pulse…lentil…pulse…lentil…oh, I am sure you got it, but I am saying this for my own benefit now.)

And Joanne/Trish girl-on-girl action? Come on, first thing Monday morning, I don’t want to start down that path…

It hasn’t done my monday morning any harm.

trish said on Mon 6 Jun at 14:27:

re lentils - actually I didn’t get it. Boo on me.

I’m not heading down that path though - I’m rather set in my ways.

stephen said on Mon 6 Jun at 14:46:

Trish, I dunno, what with you being a sailor, weeks away at sea and all that…

No, I don’t reallly know where I’m going with that either. I’m stopping now. * hangs head in shame *

joanne said on Mon 6 Jun at 23:14:

Well, I kinda assumed that people would know what gender I meant when I titled the post “The Boyfriend Criteria”. Then again, with some lesbians you can’t really tell. :p

Trish, I’m sure if I were to go that way, you’d be at the top of my list. Well, after Gemma Hayes and Jennifer Garner and the chick in Six Feet Under - but hey, not bad company to be in! ;)

(Wow, I just realised I have really good taste in women. Go me.)

trish said on Tue 7 Jun at 18:07:

true joanne, your title should have given it away - but as i was going through your list i kept nodding and saying “yup, that’s important to me too”. Maybe what I should have said was that we have the same general priorities in men… (although I’d have to add a hockey criteria….)

Does exactly what it says on the (comic book) tin. Loved it.
  • Little Miss Sunshinerating
Very funny, disturbing (the beauty pageant) and completely messed up -- but in a good way.

Story great, characterization a little on the weak side -- though the big robots are cool.
  • Porco Rossorating
    Stylish, funny, exciting.

Very sad, which was a little unexpected since I didn't know much about it before watching it. Can be a little too slow in places though, otherwise it's very good.
  • Nausicaä of the Valley of the Windrating
The story can get a little dense at times what with the various factions, but still really enjoyable, inventive and engaging.
  • X-Men: The Last Standrating
Opportunity, talent, money - all blown. Over 3 films X-Men has hinted of something great that could have been, this last one says "No, sorry - not going to happen". Bah.
