Y’all have until tomorrow night to add to the list (Nelly, Ed, Trish, Pete the Penguin - I’m especially looking at you) then I will give Stray Toaster the final list to do his thing with. We’ll give him the weekend to mull it all over and then he can release the collection as a torrent on Monday, all being well.

Does exactly what it says on the (comic book) tin. Loved it.
- Little Miss Sunshine
†
Very funny, disturbing (the beauty pageant) and completely messed up -- but in a good way.
- Laputa: Castle in the Sky
†
Story great, characterization a little on the weak side -- though the big robots are cool.
- Porco Rosso
†
Stylish, funny, exciting.
- Grave of the Fireflies
†
Very sad, which was a little unexpected since I didn't know much about it before watching it. Can be a little too slow in places though, otherwise it's very good.
- Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind

The story can get a little dense at times what with the various factions, but still really enjoyable, inventive and engaging.
- X-Men: The Last Stand
†
Opportunity, talent, money - all blown. Over 3 films X-Men has hinted of something great that could have been, this last one says "No, sorry - not going to happen". Bah.

I’m torn… do I go for the Faithlessy goodness of We Come 1, knowing that Kerr will strike it down from atop the high place of his NME-appointed position? Will I even mention the Prodigy?
How about something by the Foo Fighters? Learn To Fly, maybe?
No. I think I’ll go for the Irish redneck vote, and Kerr’s taste be damned. I nominate the Saw Doctors, To Win Just Once.
Did this in a rush trying to beat deadline
Going Up The Country – Canned Heat
Lazy Sunday – Small Faces
Love In A Trashcan - Ravonettes
Sexy Boy – Air
Sittin’ On Top Of The World – Mississippi Sheiks
Sloop John B – The Beach Boys
Sunny Afternoon – The Kinks
Then – Charlatans
Wasn’t Born To Follow – The Byrds
Ed: It won’t be anything to do with my taste, I can be totally impartial when I need to be. Hard as nails.
I did think about this on the way home from work, but i couldn’t come up with anything that wasn’t wayy to obscure. Truth is, my musical tastes are somewhat parochial and they don’t really travel well…
Ok, I don’t know if I am too late. I would suggest Good Vibrations instead of Wouldn’t It Be Nice but either one will do. They do make one happy (note, ‘one’ so as to include the great unwashed target).
Dance the Night Away by the Mavericks. As it makes one want to dance. The Night Away.
Since it’s so close to deadline I will leave it at those two for my submissions. But I am bothered by a tiny niggle in the back of my head that is trying to remind me of the song/s I once proclaimed as the happy songs. If I remember what they were I’ll be back.
One more! Singing in the Rain, Gene Kelly.
Fat boy already did his thing (I just haven’t revealed the results yet) so yes, you are too late.
IT IS GLANDULAR!!11
