Islamic Protests

So, a large collection of youths gathered in the streets of London and made some threats about repeating the London July 7th and New York September 11th bombings in Europe all because of a satirical comic about Islam being allied with death and bombing. I mean, case closed surely?

Can you imagine what would happen if Republicans marched into Belfast and started chanting about repeating Omagh, La Mon or Enniskillen in response to some work of Rowel Friers?

HAS THE WORLD GONE COMPLETELY MAD???

No. There are a section of intolerant, belligerent, anti-freedom, anti-rights, anti-us Muslims who want to impose their barren religion on us.

They are completely mad. Why is nothing done about their hate speech? If this were a crowd advocating killing Jews/Blacks/Gays, there would be police everywhere.

I don’t understand why they get a free pass, none of the rest of us do so why them?

Because it’s totally rational for people to advocate beheading as a punishment for letting your neighbour draw a naughty picture?

That’s the only excuse I can think of. Don’t think it fits particularly well, though.

Does exactly what it says on the (comic book) tin. Loved it.
  • Little Miss Sunshinerating
Very funny, disturbing (the beauty pageant) and completely messed up -- but in a good way.
  • Laputa: Castle in the Skyrating
Story great, characterization a little on the weak side -- though the big robots are cool.
  • Porco Rossorating
    Stylish, funny, exciting.
  • Grave of the Firefliesrating
Very sad, which was a little unexpected since I didn't know much about it before watching it. Can be a little too slow in places though, otherwise it's very good.
  • Nausicaä of the Valley of the Windrating
The story can get a little dense at times what with the various factions, but still really enjoyable, inventive and engaging.
  • X-Men: The Last Standrating
Opportunity, talent, money - all blown. Over 3 films X-Men has hinted of something great that could have been, this last one says "No, sorry - not going to happen". Bah.
