Usenet deja vu

Have apolitical weblogs in Northern Ireland become the minority? If you have time please add a link to any apolitical weblogs you know of from hereabouts, I’m fed up following a link finding rabid bigots at the other end.

My current picks would be:

badlibrarianship.blogspot.com
kateandpansylive.blogspot.com (always sublime)

And I presume you mean aside from the usual apolitical (ish) great NI weblawgs? But yes, they are a minority.

How do you know so much?

I have no idea where I pick such things up. Over time, from lots of people. I am just a leech. A husk, a mirror, reflecting others with no content in and of its own.

There you go, being negative again. Though I feel pretty negative myself about this site myself, it’s dull, lacking in anything approaching originality and to be frank, a bore.

I’m bored of this lark, and it’s become somewhat devalued to me recently for one reason or another. I’m going to do something different, maybe go back to being a homesite in the traditional sense, give myself more freedom to do whatever - like in the old days.

Yes, I will do that.

Negative? Again? Eh?

I reckon some resurrection of ‘red’, with a smattering of ‘blue’ in there would be quite delightful.

I miss the pictures - are you having snow there? It’s crazy over here but I’m not sure if it’s reaching you.

Does exactly what it says on the (comic book) tin. Loved it.
  • Little Miss Sunshinerating
Very funny, disturbing (the beauty pageant) and completely messed up -- but in a good way.
  • Laputa: Castle in the Skyrating
Story great, characterization a little on the weak side -- though the big robots are cool.
  • Porco Rossorating
    Stylish, funny, exciting.
  • Grave of the Firefliesrating
Very sad, which was a little unexpected since I didn't know much about it before watching it. Can be a little too slow in places though, otherwise it's very good.
  • Nausicaä of the Valley of the Windrating
The story can get a little dense at times what with the various factions, but still really enjoyable, inventive and engaging.
  • X-Men: The Last Standrating
Opportunity, talent, money - all blown. Over 3 films X-Men has hinted of something great that could have been, this last one says "No, sorry - not going to happen". Bah.
