Sincerely Farewell

Hello. I’ve written bits and pieces for this weblog for four years now and I feel that it’s time for another break. For one reason or another I’m no longer having The Fun at this and not learning too much either; so, having thought it over for a couple of weeks I have decided it’s time to stop.

I’ll keep this page here and the archives in place and if anything exciting happens I’ll post but otherwise you may as well consider things done here for now.

And if we don’t meet up again it really was nice talking to a few of you.

Yours without wax,
Stephen S.

PS. I bring shame on my family. I’m the sexual predator in this week’s Letter to America. Apologies for lowering the tone of the day. (If you’re the hot red haired girl with the satellite dish doing the outside broadcast I’m so, so sorry for my actions. I was on a celebrity high from meeting Jett Loe.)

Well, I for one always enjoyed your output, the poetry, the style, the panache, the imagery and allusions.

It would be a shame to lose you from the regular weblawging scenery.

And may The Fun return to your soul.

Does exactly what it says on the (comic book) tin. Loved it.
  • Little Miss Sunshinerating
Very funny, disturbing (the beauty pageant) and completely messed up -- but in a good way.
  • Laputa: Castle in the Skyrating
Story great, characterization a little on the weak side -- though the big robots are cool.
  • Porco Rossorating
    Stylish, funny, exciting.
  • Grave of the Firefliesrating
Very sad, which was a little unexpected since I didn't know much about it before watching it. Can be a little too slow in places though, otherwise it's very good.
  • Nausicaä of the Valley of the Windrating
The story can get a little dense at times what with the various factions, but still really enjoyable, inventive and engaging.
  • X-Men: The Last Standrating
Opportunity, talent, money - all blown. Over 3 films X-Men has hinted of something great that could have been, this last one says "No, sorry - not going to happen". Bah.
