SERPs

There is a SERPs competition, started I believe by alt.internet.search-engines USENET group. Cool! Coincidently, search for All You Know About The Human Heart and you get this site, kinda odd but there it is.

Anyway, this is my serps entry, humble me who lives in Donaghadee, Northern Ireland. Link to this individual archive page (newly created for serps), using the word SERPs, if you wanna help.

:)

Update: Thank-yous'ns to SWM, MWK and Jaffs!

No! Don’t listen to him! Link to me, to me I say!!

It looks as though Madman is cracking up. You had better not link to his site, you never no what he might do. Link to the best, most informative, fantastic serps site on the net www.sim64.co.uk instead. ;o)

You keep racking up the SERPs word density dude, MT will take care of your off site links. :)

Notice you’re links are put in as redirects? A new feature in MT 2.661 to kill any PageRank advantage in MT - thus discouraging spammers.

However, all those mentions of the word SERPs certianly helps my word density…

:)

Congrats on second place today for the competion so far (27th January at around 1pm GMT).

Good luck

Wow. Second place (so far). That’s super cool. And I’ll take this opportunity to increase my word density just a little by saying that SERPs are ‘Search Engine Ranking Positions’. :)

Dingle said on Tue 27 Jan at 13:35:

SERPs is an acronym for ‘Search Engine Results Positions’, not ‘Ranking’ as you have above.

Philipp said on Tue 27 Jan at 14:45:

You are both wrong. In fact SERPs is short for “Search Engine Result Pages”. See the FAQ for the SERPs competition at http://serps.blogspot.com

Stephen said on Fri 30 Jan at 12:20:

I appear to be second in the SEO SERPS competition today. Hurrah!

serps said on Thu 18 Mar at 12:51:

Is the serps competition over yet?

T.J. said on Tue 13 Apr at 10:36:

Yup,
The serps competition is over.
But there is a new one just started in a French forum.
If your not going to enter, I would appreciate any help you want to offer.
The target phrase this time is “mangeur de cigogne” which translates as
“eater of stork”, don’t ask me why.
My entry page is at sim64.co.uk/serps-competition.txt
Email me any time if you want more info at serps@sim64.co.uk or just asak here.
Many thanks,
T.J.

Does exactly what it says on the (comic book) tin. Loved it.
  • Little Miss Sunshinerating
Very funny, disturbing (the beauty pageant) and completely messed up -- but in a good way.
  • Laputa: Castle in the Skyrating
Story great, characterization a little on the weak side -- though the big robots are cool.
  • Porco Rossorating
    Stylish, funny, exciting.
  • Grave of the Firefliesrating
Very sad, which was a little unexpected since I didn't know much about it before watching it. Can be a little too slow in places though, otherwise it's very good.
  • Nausicaä of the Valley of the Windrating
The story can get a little dense at times what with the various factions, but still really enjoyable, inventive and engaging.
  • X-Men: The Last Standrating
Opportunity, talent, money - all blown. Over 3 films X-Men has hinted of something great that could have been, this last one says "No, sorry - not going to happen". Bah.
